Dr. Roza Azmanova

Dr. Roza Azmanova graduated from Medical University – Sofia in 1984 and completed a residency in Internal Medicine in 1993, and a Pulmonology fellowship in 1997.  She is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine (’08) in Chicago, Illinois.  Dr. Azmanova is licensed and board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in 2009.

Roza’s interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture began when she suffered severe back trauma with a fractured vertebrae, and several herniated spinal disks.  The excruciating pain from the trauma and the abdominal pain from the drugs motivated her to seek for an alternative way to cope with the pain.  Acupuncture and TCM proved to be an effective form of therapy promoting the natural healing process, excluding the side effects of prescription drugs, directly corresponding with her beliefs in the body’s own healing abilities.

Upon her experience with the potent effects of acupuncture, Roza underwent training as an acupuncturist at Midwest College of Oriental medicine with the goal of showing others the astounding results acupuncture has to offer.  She has proved her passion for helping people with her extensive work-history in the medical field along with the numerous hours spent studying the intricate mechanisms of the human body.

Roza’s advanced, western medical experience as a physician in conjunction with the eastern medical training she has received, brand her (skills) unique and her treatments more effective.  She has helped hundreds of patients from numerous backgrounds with a wide variety of health issues.
